Switch from another mileage app in 2 minutes

1. Export your drives from your current app

1. Sign in to your current app's dashboard on the web (a computer is easiest).
2. Find its reports or export, and choose the date range: this tax year, or everything.
3. Download your drives as a CSV file (the spreadsheet format), not PDF.

Menus differ between apps and change from time to time; look for "Export", "Download" or "Reports". The CSV is yours to take.

2. Import it into Steadymile

1. Install Steadymile and allow location "Always" so it records new drives on its own.
2. Open Settings, Import, choose the app you're coming from (MileIQ, Everlance or TripLog), and pick the CSV from Files, Mail or iCloud Drive.
3. Check the preview: dates, distances and Business or Personal come across. Imported drives are marked as imported.

3. Overlap for a day, then cancel

Run both apps for a day to see Steadymile catch your drives, then cancel your old subscription in your Apple Account (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) or on the app's website if you paid there. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

What carries over

• Every drive's date, start and end, distance and classification
• Your yearly totals, so the year-end report covers the whole year
• Purposes and notes, where the CSV includes them
